Yes I do have a Samsung BD-UP5000 player. My only problem with it is, after about 5 or 10 minutes into a movie, whether it be Blu-Ray, HD DVD or regular DVD the picture freezes up and I have to turn it off, power it back up and then the movie plays fine. Other than this problem, the unit produces a beautiful highdef picture. I am hoping Samsung releases a firmware update for this problem soon. I hear some units are affected while others are not.

If you haven't updated your firmware yet, I suggest you do. If you already have I suggest you take it back to the store and get a new one. I have updated and tested over 5 of these and they don't do that. Only on one or two blu-rays, should you have any issues. Sunshine with video and Ratatouille on audio (just pause for a second and unpause fixes the audio) Sunshine will not be easily played until there is a newer firmware update.

Can't you just move this thread to where it belongs?

There are at least 12 threads on the cross format section. The same one you post this in. It doesn't even take a search!

Check the "The BD-UP5000 is awesome thread."
