Just an FYI to owners, LG has released a firmware that seems to be "THE" firmware. It enables 1.1, bitstreaming of multichannel TrueHD\DTSMA ect.......

Is this the update you are referring too?

http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1009104

The thread reads:

"Before continuing please be aware as of 03/20/2008 LG USA have pulled this New firmware from their USA website (it's also been pulled from their Irish and Swiss websites).

The current Official Firmware is now BH02080124R (2008-01-24). If you still wish to install the BH0208314B (2008-03-14) Firmware you do so at your own risk!"

Did you install this yet? Not an update anymore, but considered a hack. Seems like it fixes a lot of problems, but I've had no issues so far.

The hack is actually something else. It's still listed as firmware, but for some reason was pulled from LG's website. I bit the bullet and updated my player yesterday and everything works perfectly. I just wouldn't have been able to live without TrueHD and DTS-HD MA

I dont personally have the player, just trying to keep up with the news for both players . As it was said before LG pulled the firmware from the official site and now its a "do at your own risk". There have been sie success with people updating with the "shared" version, but personally I would wait for it to be re-released. LG might have noticed something that was not quite right and decided to fix it before it get put up again.

I used a PNY 2Gig Attache to load the lastest firmware today.

Thanks! Couldn't find that model so I picked up the Kingston DTI/2GB Data Traveler 2 GB USB Flash Drive from Amazon.com for around $13.

i thought you connect an ethernet cable from your player to your PC and from there it sends the update information.

There is a new update if you use the network update on the player (or I think it is new), I have not seen it on thier website as a download yet.

Model Name: BH200
Driver Version: 0702
SW Version: BH02080402F

That what I though it might be, the thing that threw me was that I had already installed the April update and it told me there was a new update and went through the steps like it was updating. After it finished the SW Version still ended 0402F which is what you can download, that's why I put in the part of I think it is new.
