I never heard of issues with the previous Pioneer models.

51/05's had some issues, just cause they released them with beta firmware. They have been excellent with the last 2 releases though. I'm not worried about Pioneer, I think they are ahead of quite a few companies. Curious to see full specs ad features.

For the price they charge, they better be.

My father is a Pioneer fan and won't buy anything else. Quite the setup he's got.

There is not going to be a 10G Kuro, Pioneer is exiting the TV market:

If it's so "sad," why are you having such difficulty containing your laughter?

And congrats on bumping a 5-month old thread. The above information is not news and has been discussed throughout the forum ad nauseum.

I've tested and installed all of the new models. The Elite BDP23F seems to be the clear winner - providing excellent audio for the analog outputs and better build quality.

The BDP09 will continue on - THE best player IMO.

I ordered the OPPO today. I wonder how it will compare. Considering all the hype, I'm looking forward to putting it through the trials.
