Default Logitech Shows New Harmony Remote

Logitech posted info on the new Harmony One on their website. It looks like a replacement for the 880, and you can already pre-order it up on Amazon for $250. Looks like it will retail at the end of the month. I'm looking forward to replacing my 880 with this remote.

"Full HD" is a marketing term, not a specification!

that's nice looking, but other than looks I don't think it'll do much more than my 600 series.

See, that's what this thing needs badly! A new Harmony from Logitech that has Bluetooth would be just what the Dr. ordered!

I want a remote like this but I dont like how "Activites" based these all are. I want a device based remote. I dont like all the automatic turn on and off of my stuff etc.

yea wish it had blutooth, but when you think about it there isnt really any significant home theater equipment that has blutooth control besides ps3.

very pretty, but $250 is alot for a remote. i think ill get one of the 500 series for $70 on amazon. it will still get the job done just as well.

You can control a PS3 via IP, however you will need an AMX or Crestron control system. Not a cheap soultion...but it may help to know!

I thought the same thing at first until I got my 880. I wasn't sure how I was going to like it. It's a real pain to setup, but once it's up and running it works fantastic. You don't have to remember things like what input what device is on or how to get audio out of a particular device. Not to mention that my wife can run our home theater setup without me needing to be home. And if you need a particular button that isn't on the face, you just setup one of the soft buttons under that activity. All the remotes for my equipment are stored away, and I havn't touched them since getting a Harmony.

As for it not having Bluetooth, the PS3 is the only device to my knowledge that uses it and every device I've been hearing announced at CES this year doesn't have it at all. So I really don't see that it's a valid complaint. Why should a cost saving measure by Sony dictate an additional cost to other manufacturers?
