I don't know about your other predictions, but I will stop just short of guaranteeing that you won't hear anything new about TL51 except for yet another demo with some sort of prototype setup. The dance and song is getting tiresome with this TL51 vaporware.

    My prediction:

Warner will pick a side if they want to phase out the format war.

Paramount will provide some indication if they will stay exclusive to HD-DVD or not.

Disney and Fox look to be firmly stuck in blu and Universal set to remain with HD-DVD until someone comes out of the rubble.

    -------------------------
    Hardware:

    Blu-Ray = PS3 + HDMI + 40" Sony Bravia 1080P

    HD-DVD = Xbox360 + VGA + 40" Sony Bravia 1080P

    Software:

    Blu-Ray = 25

    HD-DVD = 6

I don't know wether it will happen at CES or not, but here's what I think:

    Warner goes HD DVD exclusive
TL51 is talked about, but clearly not ready for primetime, if EVER.
    Weinstein goes Blu-ray exclusive

As far as other studios, I see them staying the same.

Toshiba officially announces they are not making a replacement for the XA2, but Onkyo/Integra will be making a new high end HD DVD player.

More low end Chinese players appear, and Toshiba A3 begins to fade into oblivion as Toshiba focuses on its normal mid-level consumer with the A30 and A35.

I think the A3 will still be around for awhile. It is a great introductory box for Joe Six Pack, the "average" consumer. The A3 has been the "Trojan Horse" for Toshiba.

Samsung announces a new 2.0 BD-only player as a replacement for the 1400.

2.0 (some 1.1) BD players are shown from Daewoo, Funai, Sony, Panasonic, Sharp, Pioneer, Philips.

Denon announces a dual format player.

Toshiba demos TL51. Doesn't announce a release date, stating testing continues.

Microsoft reduces the price of the add-on.

Warner announces.... ?/? not a clue.

No way will they leave the bottom end to just Venturer and other no-name brands. It's way too important. The A3 will be around until it's replaced by the A4.
