So we saw the DMR-E700BD—the first ever "consumer" Blu-ray recorder/player, made by Panasonic—all hooked up to a huge plasma HDTV. It was playing a hi-def disc. I, Robot, actually. It looked freaking unreal. We hate wait.
This will be great for those who own a DVD recorder and have always been limited by storage space and are not looking to other methods of recording like DVR's. Plenty of storage space now and unlike most DVR's, it will record HD content. (thats my only beef with my Tivo, it dosent do HD and I dont wanna spend $600 on the HD unit...come on Tivo!!! bring the price down )
