Default BD outselling HD DVD according to FOX

"...We are looking forward to this pivotal year and the ultimate
establishment of Blu-ray as the high-definition packaged media standard. In
fact, Blu-ray sales performance surpassed HD-DVD for the first time the week
of December 24 and did so by an impressive 20 per cent. What's more, by the
end of the first quarter our research shows the sales gap widening to Blu-ray
outselling HD DVD by a 3.5-to-1 ratio," noted Mike Dunn, President Worldwide,
Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. "...

Even if this is true (and with studio numbers favoring BR it may well be) with the HD DVD PRG's announcement of over 300 titles to be released on HD DVD in 2007 one thing is clear - HD DVD is not going anywhere soon and is clearly here to stay

Some nice looking titles coming to Blu-ray from Fox and MGM in that article.

Graph provided by 20th Century Fox

There's the graph they used. According to the date line on the bottom, it's 2010 > 2011. Really unprofessional for such an official release. Also they show Blu-ray with a constant, steady increase and HD DVD remains flat for the same time period. This is really really really, funny. XD

This graph seems to have come straight from Fox News ... in other words is wishful thinking. They are asumming that HD-DVD sales are going to be stagnant till 2011 to get they 3.5 to 1 ratio.

I think it's obvious that it's a typo as they show the December 24th mark where Blu-ray sales surpassed HD DVD sales.

Yeah, obviously. I mean, it's impossible that FOX would attempt to spin something.

After all, when FOX reports it, you can be assured that you've entered the NO SPIN ZONE!

It's still suspect that Fox doesn't think there will be any increase in HD-DVD sales.

I have no idea what that means relating to the graph that shows in the title "By End of First Quarter 2007"

I was just pointing out the typo on it.

This graph is further evidence that more math needs to be taught in American Schools. It is shoddy and criminal to tout that thing around as real data.

"This is what we feel will happen with sales! We just screwed up the dates, and some of the numbers for Blu-ray sales, and most of the HD DVD numbers, but everything else is 100% accurate!*"

*Maybe, kinda, if you turn it sideways.

If anyone is going to make a claim and a chart to prove such a claim, they should at least have double checked it.
