It's true. I'd love to have Aliens, Pirates and Casino Royale in HD.
Good thing we have dual-format players now... ![]() |

Again 2008 is a year away and anything could happen in terms of studio support so I am just not buying the all BD studios are staying absolutly put and maybe HD-DVD's studios will switch in 2008. Bottom line is nobody is switching soon and the only thing that will dictate wether studios switch is in fact the sales from 2007. The way he skewed it towards BD is comical. OC.. The report loses credibility when it says Universal will support in 2008. If they made a decision to support Blu-ray, they would do it sooner. Saying that they are "waiting" for 2008 means its bunk.

Wow. A Sony rep. This must be true!
And WOW!!! Die Hard Trilogy on Bluray in 8-9 months!!! That was soon... And Alien is also gonna come in 8-9 months! Wow. No wonder it looks like Bluray have so many titles out... Universal making BD in 2008. Yeah right ![]() |

Actually I have heard through other sites that Universal struck a deal with the HD DVD group that if they released a $500 Universal would release only on HD DVD and release big name movies like King Kong. The deal runs through to 2008, so it would be in keeping with this new rumour that has surfaced.

This is not something that I have heard anywhere, so I take that with a grain of salt. I doubt Universal would sign any such agreement in a binding way - I am sure they can do whatever they want. |

The last time was about the poster who had gone from HD DVD to Blu-ray. You were asked by an HD DVD fan what was the scoop and you never had another response. How about you actually give everyone here, as I'm sure fans from both sides are curious, some sort of analysis as to why beatboy77 would be a laughable source to quote because leaving it the way it is is FUD. ![]() |

Bullahit Doby. You know as well as I and EVERYONE else at AVS that the dude does a great job at trolling.
Tell you what. Why don't you be fair and quote tsd2005 as well then. Or is his sources less valid that beatboy's? Please, don't even bother to try and validate your guy here.
