Default Any plans of Batman (1989) coming to Blu??

As I sit watching my bare bones SD DVD, i hope this title comes to Blu shortly.

The other title, I wish for his Heat. Can you imagine the bank shoot out in lossless sound????

moved to wishlists.

also, all 4 of the WB batman movies on dvd are out of print again, both the single and double disc editions, so that means there may be plans in the works for a 6 title boxset, or some other special rerelease in the near future

Didn't Warner mention in one of their many press releases that the 'Anthology' was making it's way to Blu late '08/early '09?

I thought I remembered reading that somewhere....
could be wrong though.

if it does, it will piss people off more than the matrix did, as an "anthology" would be a 4 title release, not individuals. imagine wanting batman and having to deal w/ "forever" and "and robin"...

I hate 2 of them-don't even remember which is which, I do not like the one with Danny Devito, and the one with Arnold S. (wont even try to spell his name-LOL) I like the first one though.

I can imagine...especially as I only want Batman and Batman Returns out of the pre-Nolan films....

Shumachers films can stay the hell out of my collections thanks.

Yeah, I could live without that version of the Penguin for the rest of my life and be happy. The Animated Series did him right.

I enjoyed Forever for some odd reason,in no way do I consider it a great movie. I don't own any of the old Batman movies,I tossed out my VHS collection years ago and never did the DVD upgrade.I really only want the 1989 original in hidef myself,I don't feel the need to spend hidef bucks for Returns or Forever, but I would like those two in my collection as regular DVDs.Batman & Robin?? NO THANK YOU!!

i remember reading the anthology is comming out sometime in october , ithink it was on this site or it could have been the rumor mill on the digitalbits.

in anycase, i really hope they keep the 80s an 90s movies as seperate boxset than the nolan movies,

out of all of the movies in the motion picture anthology i liked batman and batman forever the best. i thought keaton was the best batman and kilmer was the best bruce wayne in that series of films.

even though batman and robin sucked you have to admit that special edition is a real treat, the very honest and telling audio commentary from schumaker was well worth the listen. the dvd special edition is a great look at how not to make a movie.
even shumaker admits the movie is garbage, i loved val kilmer talking about how he wasnt in the movie, and then hearing shumakers version.
a crappy movie to say the least but the 2 disc dvd is a great learning tool for those who want to make movies

I also would love to see the mask of the phantasm on bluray (not to mention subzero and return of the joker)
