Default Gladiator and Braveheart???

I know there were a few threads about this movie already, but they were all from mid-2007. I don't see it in the pending releases. These are 2 movies that belong on HDV. I can only imagine hearing that crowd chant Maximus or hearing William Wallace rally is troops against King "Longshanks" in HD audio Please if anyone has any knowledge please share it.

I havent heard anything. You may want to try the "Official IS ____ Coming Out "or Wish List threads.

If anybody had any knowledge of these two movies getting a Blu release there would already be a recent thread about it.

Yeah, thanks for the link as well! Now do the imports get all the same treatments to the video and audio as the official releases?

???? Not sure what you mean by "official" as they are ALL official releases, just different areas of the world. In some cases the import exceeds the US release in many ways....

If by "official", you meant the US then the answer is, it depends. Each studio may use a different master to get the transfer from so it "could" be different. Sometimes they are the same....Most of the time though, I think most of the titles on Blu-ray have been almost the same video\audio wise....

Ok, now from what I remember Paramount may have been prepping a Braveheart HD DVD for release earlier this year, but nothing ever came of that. Gladiator is a big title, and is one of those highly wanted ones that I will definitely get. We may not get them this year, but we will get them I'd put money on it...

When there is news though there will be people posting on them HEAVILY, you cant count on it..

Along with The Dark Knight I think I'd have to replace my 26" hdtv to do those two justice

Providing the transfers were up to scratch they would look immense. Gladiator probably more so what with the CGI scenery but some of the shots of the Scottish highlands in Braveheart (yes, I know it was really filmed in Ireland) would look beautiful.
