Default Will Enterprise ever make it to Blu?

I was thinking the other day, will the Star Trek Enterprise series ever make it to Blu?

It has a few things going for it:
1. It was recorded in HD
2. It's the newest ST series

It has a few things not going for it:
1. Lots of people didn't like Enterprise
2. It's the newest ST series (Trekkies/Trekkers would rather see older material).
3. Series in general haven't done very well on any HD format with the exception of Smallville and Heroes (once season two comes out). Actually, boxed series doesn't even do well on SD = lots of sets die out after a season or two (diff'rent strokes comes to mind ).

So would you buy it?
I loved the series, and haven't bought it in SD since I'd love to see it in HD glory.

While this is just one example: can complete TV series in general make it on Blu? Do you think it's even a good medium for TV series since most are recorded on tape (I don't think Golden Girls would be a good HD release).

As you know they are probably going to move this post-but to answer your question I'm sure it will be released!

Move??? I guess it's kinda a wish list thread, but it's more about the viability of series boxed sets on the Blu format since these types of releases struggle in SD.

BTW, I hpoe you're right!

One thing that is going to be a downer on this set (if/when it gets released) is that, similar to another Sci-Fi show of the same era, Firefly, while the series was recorded in HD (and 35mm earlier seasons) the special effects were only rendered @ SD resolution.

If you watch the HD broadcasts on HDNet this is rather jarring as the quality jumps from shot to shot (any shot that has a CGI element will be no better than SD) and this can be distracting to many....
