Is it me or what? The 1 thing I want most on Blu-Ray now is for the Studios to stop releasing bare-bones discs when Standard Def DVD's have special editions. What is the point here?! You want people to switch to this new format and re-buy older titles (We might already own) but without any extras?! You (The Sony Peeps) Shout out loud about the capacity of Blu-Ray discs. Well USE THEM!
Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Terminator 1 & 2 , Black Hawk Down and more are just an example. Warners seems to be the one studio overall who has released extras laden discs both on HD-DVD and Blu-Ray across the board. Kudos To WB even if they threw the towel in on HD-DVD (As my mom always said "Nothing are perfect." Now as far as a top five I want to see on Blu-Ray soon? 1. Heat (SE) 2. Alien Set (Directors cut and all SE) 3. Lawrence of Arabia (SE) 4. Zulu (SE) 5. Complete TV show (SE) if the show has finished it's run. Mostly these would be shows from the recent past that would benefit from a Blu-Ray upgrade, i.e. were shot in letterbox/widescreen etc. For instance Twin Peaks is in the standard TV format. Therefore I don't know if a Blu-Ray version would do much to replace my Gold Box edition.
