Still debating on weather I should upgrade since mine works fine, if I didn't have one I'd be all over the C-200 though.

I posted a review of my experiences with the A-110 on my blog.

Cool! I've been converting more and more of my library to digital and I have ton of HD recordings from TV.

One thing I'm wondering about is can the Popcorn Hours bitstream sound (hd and regular)? I know the some of the iStars could (before they disappeared).

Has anyone tried PS3 Media Server software?

http://code.google.com/p/ps3mediaserver/

I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and have zero complaints. Transcodes and plays all my mkv HD files perfectly. If you have a wired network connection to your home network I highly recommend it.

You can always split the file, put it in a directory on a USB drive and then turn on sequential file play in the PS3 setup.

Yea the PCH can handle almost any audio and although it doesn't decode DTS iteslf, it can pass it to your receiver for decoding.

Sounds like a pain in the arse. Download and Play FTW.

A-110 does. That's what I have. I bitstream to my 605 but it does have the ability to decode to LPCM if need be.

I have a 1TB external HD with YAMJ, default variant skin with BoxMe cover add-on. Bad ass looking

Looks like this.

Don't illegally download flix, but if you've got MKVs of independent/user created media and you don't like MKV2VOB may I also suggest gotSENT. Great program, and if you like to store whatever the vids are on FAT32 formatted external drives you plug in via USB, it'll chop the converted videos into nice >4GB sized files for convenient storage.

On top of that it will embed .srt filed subs right into the coverted picture.

Only if they're illegally pirating films...probably not the best thing for you to be advocating and asking how to do via these forums

if you have an xbox360 laying around you can play mkvs natively with windows 7/windows media center/divx 7 with tech preview, no more converting unless the mkv has high bitrate

Yeah, I've used it with mixed results. It's got really spotty playback support in Snow Leopard, so I've really not bothered with too much streaming stuff at the moment. I'm about to pick up a G4 in a few weeks that's running Leopard, and it'll obviously stay that way, so I'll probably gut that one to make it the streaming machine since Leopard's a more stable platform for the software. I don't need to stream my HD stuff, so I'll just limit it to SD ripped DVD's and TV shows on DVD.
