Okay i had a sammy 42a450 plasma hooked thru hdmi cables and i returned that tv. So meanwhile till i get a new LCD i'm using a Panny rear projection TV thru COMPONENT wires. Well i get no picture! Why? Does the PS3 still think i'm using HDMI? I's there a way to reset?

Try this, got it from AVSforum, posted by AmigaDude:

Power on PS3 via power button and HOLD IT for 5 seconds (release after the second beep). It should automatically configure your PS3 to the TV's native resolution for all settings.

Hope it works.
