Default PS3 and 605 ??????

I have had the ps3 and the 605 connected for about 8 months now and worked perfectly. I took my PS3 on a road trip and reset the settings. Came back home and hooked it up the same way and did the audio settings and it says that the hdmi cannot be used for audio when I do a automatic test I have to do a manual check for all the audio formats. The first time I could do automatic settings and worked before now it wont. Anyone else having this problem and what can I do to fix it? Is there a way to do a system reset for the Onkyo?

that is just so strange because mine worked fine with ON set to ON but when I disassembled stuff and put it back together much like the OP did I had to turn this to OFF to make it work. Made no sense to me at the time as it took me 3 days to figure out

no there is a serious problem with that audio out function...if it is enabled on and you hook up an hd dvd player you can't get audio at all...I feel for the OP because I had the same problem before
