i have a question about my flash drive(8g) on the ps3 usb port. i have a flash drive with mp3 music and also have music videos. How come when i play the mp3 music it continues to play like a shuttle mode but when i want to play the music videos it won't play in a shuttle mode? the video just stops when the song is over, then i have to hit next on the remote in order to play the next music video which sucks somtimes. Any opinions?? thanks
P.S I just got a ps3 but haven't updated firmware.I think i still have the 2.1 firmware.Don't have it connected online but can i just load to my flash drive then download it to my ps3? sorry for the confusion ![]() |

Yeah, you can load the update (2.41) to an thumb drive and update your PS3.
I've never tried to play video after video. Most video's you watch and it ends. Not sure if Sony thought to provide an option for a continuous loop on those. Have you tried downloading several on your hard-drive, then hitting the "triangle" button to see what option are available? You could also try hitting "triangle" while the video are on your flash drive, but I'm not sure if all the same options are available. (Videos on your hard-drive can be upscaled, videos played from an external can not, etc.) Good luck.

If you prefer doing it via your PC you 'll find the update and a set for instructions here. You 'll need to create a folder named UPDATE on your flash drive in order for the PS3 to see it. |
