Default Proud owner of new Metal Gear 80gb PS3 Bundle

My video game life is now complete. I finally have a PS3 to go along with my 360 and Wii. I finally now have Metal Gear 4, rumble, SACD and BC with PS2 games, all of which were my must haves for purchase. I thought they stopped making the 80gb bundle so I was quite happy to be able to pick one up.

Anyone else purchase this bundle? Opinions? Impressions?

I normally only play the major titles (MGS, FF, GT, etc), I checked and those appear ok. Having said that I wish I bought the 60gb a year ago, didn't know they were planning on stripping out features in the future.

I have the original motorstorm 80 gig model and it more or less is equivalent to the 60 gig. Yes it does BC differently, but I've yet to encounter a single problem after 40 games played. I'm not sure if the Metal Gear Solid 80 gig bundle is the same system as what I have, but if so, then you'll have no problems.

trust me... with MGS4 you'll never need another game for quite a while.

That is what I am hoping. I played the $Hit out of the 3rd one, hoping for the same here. I will make some popcorn for the cutscenes.

I purchased the MGS4 bundle. Never played a MGS game. Tried it. Not my thing, terrible voice acting, endless cut scenes, etc... traded it for 4 new blu-rays. great deal. I'm happy with the PS3.

IMO, MGS 1 was the best...MGS 2 was good, 3 went a little long and I'm digging into 4 right now. I find the storylines and the acting to be a little inflated, but people tend to eat that stuff up. Why is it whenever you kill a boss they go into a friggin soliloquy about their lives and purposes?

I heard there is a 45 min long cutscene...can anyone tip off w/o spoilers, how deep into the game this comes? I want to make sure in case I have an appt or whatnot. Thanks

It's at the end of Act 3. You can always just press start since that pauses the cutscenes.

by the way, check your local wal-marts if anyone is still looking for one. I went to one about 15 minutes away from my home and saw 3 80gb mgs4 bundles available for $499.99+tax.

The end/epilogue is also extremely long (IIRC over an hour?), so be ready for that one as well. I thought the game was a blast, but when someone said "make some popcorn for the cut scenes" I thought "heck, you have time to marinate a grill a steak for most of them."
