Question Weird PS3 Photo streaming problem.

So lets say I put 20 photos on my Vista Computer. I can view them all on my PS3 no problem. If I go in and delete photo #11 and then rename the rest to make up for the gap when I go to view them again on my PS3 only the first 10 photos that have never been renamed will show up. Any photo that has been renamed is no longer accessable. Very strange.

Any ideas ?

Just using Windows. I think that it uses the Windows Media Player. I dont even use the Media Center. On my devices it shows up as WMP 11.

Did you try re-doing the "search for multimedia servers" on the PS3? I'm wondering if the PS3 stores the names internally; then when it goes to look for the pictures you renamed, it can't find them. Just a thought.

I am pretty sure that it is an indexing problem with Windows. XP did it and so does Vista. They shadow copy things in the background and have mutliple versions of the same file and when you start changing the names of files it really gets complicated. My 40Z4100 has the exact same problem as the PS3. It is just another example of windows being more interested in being complicated over plain working right. I think that even my 360 has the same problem. Its Windows.... bastards... LOL

edit.... What I would really like is some type of NAS that is DLNA so that I dont need the computer to do it.
