Default Future firmware updates for ps3?

I know that many of you have been waiting for the 2.4 firware update to come.......but for someone like myself who is new to gaming and has no more than a few hours a week to kill playing a game....there is nothing in 2.4 that gets me excited. I have been playing the original Rainbow Six Vegas game for over a month now, and just finished the border town, and am now on the Vegas strip (way cool btw).....but I don't think I will be worring about trophies anytime soon.

So, my question is this.....anyone heard of any future features that might be added to the PS3 that someone like myself would appreciate? I loved the update that allowed for the playback of a bluray movie from the point where you left off. And I like the new online store set up much better than the old one.

Default Firmware

Well now you should be able to hit your PS button while playing a game and it will not make you quit. You will be able to access the XMB and start up your music if you wish. So you can listen to whatever music you want when playing. Thats kinda cool for me.

2.4 includes upscaling of video files from your hd now (not just dvd), I think the music playback thing is game dependent, maybe games'll patch for trophies & custom soundtracks at the same time?

I don't understand why its saying upscale from the hdd, because it always did that... In A/V options there is now 2 noise reduction settings but no upscale settings.

Really it's hard to say what they'll do with future updates. I mean, it's almost limitless what they can do with this machine, so I guess we'll just have to wait and find out.
