Default Keyboard for PS3

If I want a keyboard to use with the PS3 (for net surfing and such), do I need to buy a keyboard made specifically for the PS3, or can I use any Bluetooth or USB-to-wireless keyboard?

Thanks in advance.

relatively any bluetooth or USB (wireless) keyboard will work fine.

I have USB wireless - works great. I use it for messaging people - I hate using the controller for a long message. I leave the USB device in the PS3, and when I want to type a message (I keep the keyboard leaned up behind the t.v. out of sight), I just pick up the keyboard, switch it to on and type my message.

The keyboard runs on 1 or 2 AA batteries, haven't changed them since I got it over half a year ago. (Can't remember what kind, I think it was a logitech for $45 on amazon or something.)

I can't imagine not having it. Especially with in-game messaging coming soon.

there's a Logitech keyboard you can get for $19.99 at gamecrazy. saw it the other day with a Sony logo. Not sure if it's official or not.

It doesn't have to be a wireless USB keyboard either, though that's obviously more convenient. But out of curiosity I did hook up my wired desktop USB keyboard to the PS3, and it worked fine.

I've hooked my Z Board up to my ps3 and it works fine. I also tried it with UT3 when I rented it and it worked to a certain point. I couldn't use the 2 middle up and down keys. Besides that it worked great!!

I just ordered this http://www.buy.com/prod/trust-vista-...205864854.html it was on sale for $19.99 free shipping a couple days ago. wireless trackball and I think the keys are illuminated. The mouse click keys are in the same posiiton as the R1 & L1 buttons on ps3 controller.
