Nope, no way around the Wi-fi other than getting a wireless router.

Well you can, but it's not worth it. You can get one relativley cheap (around $80-$100), and it's well worth it for consoles.

The wireless shouldn't affect your PS3, as I think they are different radio bands. Depends really one what band you use. Wireless G is common among cell phones and wireless phones so you may get alot of interference, which is why alot of people use Wireless A/B settings. Wireless N is pretty new, a bit more expensive, but is faster and has less of the interference you get with the G routers. I'd recommend getting an N router if possible, but that's up to you Have to add that the Wii, 360 and the PS3 use G or A/B, so you're not going to get much of a benefit there with N.

they make wii lan adaptors
there's cheaper 3rd party options, but you might be gambling with compatibility.

ps3 couldn't use a bluetooth headset when you connected the wii wirelessly to the linksys?

No, I can't remember what it said. It said it was in some werid setting when I tried it with the router. I spent hours on the phone with sony, charter and linksys, I gave up out of frustration and cycle my modem every time I change from ps3 to computer it is frustrating =( I would love to have everything connected but my ps3 said no.

I had a wireless g, so I need to change the settings of the ps3 and wii to g or a/b? I would like to get in 2008 and and use some wifi.

A/B tends to be slower, but it's much more stable and less to interference. So might try it and see if your speeds improve, or you get better connectivity.

Get a Linksys WRT54G (I recommend the WRT54GL but going off this thread, assume you aren't the kind of person that would be able to appreciate the flexibility of the unit, no offense it's just a really nerdy router ), set it to Mixed Mode (B/G), and configure the Wireless Security -- set it to WPA2-PSK (AES) and type in a passphrase.

Then configure the Wii (very simple, just find the option and select WPA2 and type in that same passphrase) and then the PS3 (which has more steps). It makes absolutely NO sense that the Bluetooth would interfere with the Wifi, and unless you were using a special router can't explain that one.
