Default Orders through Amazon.com

An item I ordered said it will be in stock on the 1st of July, but now it's saying that they are preparing the item and it's shipping soon. Is it normal for something like this to happen?

Happens to me all the time. Since I pay for shipping because of my location, I group my preorders together. Doesnt matter if all the release dates are different for each item cause theyll send each individual item on its release date. Saves me money by not having to split it up and I guess Amazon doesnt mind.
