This will be my first PS3, I'm very excited, I even bought another game and some BDs and I don't even have the console yet!!

I'm gonna be staring at the boxes of Cloverfield and the Die Hard Collection until this baby arrives in my doorstep.

Dude, that's hardcore.

But hope you enjoy it. Fanboyism on either side notwithstanding, it's not a bad system.

Yeah i saw this info in a similar thread. If you want, you can preorder NOW at circuitcity.com if you are willing to also purchase a blu-ray remote

Good deal if you were going to spring for the remote anyway

Are you kidding?

It's the best BD player right now! And I've heard it can play games, too

I'm sticking with the 360 for non-exclusives, though. Multiplayer and friend list is still better implemented on Live, IMO.

same thing for me too. i have a bigger base of friends/clans that i play with, so there is no use starting over.

Got that email also, and got it pre-ordred. It did show up right on the hour. It looks like amazon is having problems right now though, getting
Http/1.1 Service Unavailable
when I go there. Got the confirmation email, life is good.

Heck yeaH!

5 minutes before the hour I started reloading like a madman and, right on the hour the Pre-order button showed up!

It was as painless as ever, checkout, confirmation e-mail and everything. It was $499 total, no taxes, and even super saver shipping. I'm willing to bet I was the FIRST preorder

Now I try to accces Amazon and the site is down! Bet they didn't count on a rabid fanbase that wanted that item. Ok, maybe they did, but just not this rabid. I mean, you don't see Amazon crashed that often do you?

Central time zone, noon my time. My computer time was 12:01 (update via a time server). Only had to hit refresh about 3 times before it showed.
