i love DR2000, and hope confirmation of rumor is posted soon (couldn't pay me to click that). such a fun, fun film, about 2000 times better than the remake.

Is this for real? I mean, I always thought I was lucky, but somebody up there loves me. Death Race 2000, best movie ever! Almost as good as A Man Called Rainbow, for early Stallone fans. I hope they include the previews though, best previews ever.

Almost bizarre lucky, would have never thought this one would have any interest on Blu. I'm a happy camper right now though.

Galaxy of Terror and Forbidden World July 20th!
Crosses fingers GoT is a loaded 16x9 SE with the MPAA cuts restored... could be time to retire my stunning Italian widescreen import.
And ditto for Forbidden World, please God get the director on board and restore his preferred 86min cut.
"There is actually a director's cut of Mutant (AKA Forbidden World) at UCLA Archives with 12 minutes of pure, outrageous comedy that was deleted (unhappily) from the movie after the first sneak preview. Mutant was not a sequel to Galaxy Of Terror, but was started on the spaceship set of Galaxy Of Terror (designed by Jim Cameron). The set was available for one day, a Sunday, because first unit shot on it during the week, second unit shot on Saturday and the set was redressed on Monday as a burnt set. Roger Corman asked Allan Holzman on the Tuesday before that Sunday to create a 7 to 8 minute opening of a space movie that could go anywhere. After the sneak preview, the title was unfortunately changed from Mutant to Forbidden World and the ad art was changed to the ad art from Galaxy Of Terror. The line that was used during the shooting on the crew t-shirts was: "Where the slime ends the blood begins." -

LOL....I can remember seeing this in the theater...my dad took me, and I was about 5 or 6 years old.
....come to think of it, that may go a long way toward explaining why I turned out THIS way :-) -
