Default 'The Towering Inferno' - High-Def Digest Review

David has revisited 'The Towering Inferno.' He says this is still hammy, silly, and melodramatic, and he wouldn't have it any other way! This Blu-ray should have disaster fans on the edge of their seats, with fantastic video and audio and a teetering pile of extras. Recommended.

Wow, four and a half for video. I've been waiting on this to find out more about the PQ and ended up forgetting about this blu completely, so thanks for the review. I'll have to pick this up.

Oh man, they should have packed the song "Man Vs Nature" by Killdozer into it. It's all filled with Irwin Allen love.

You know, I've never seen these films. None of Allen's triumphs. Perhaps, I should get on that.

Oops! Thanks, Dave, for pointing that out, and it will be corrected pronto. Don't know why I slipped in L.A. there. As you can see from the main movie review, I talk about the "San Francisco social elite" whooping it up in the ballroom, so I'm well aware of the film's setting. Must have been a brain fart.

Thanks again for letting me know.

Had no idea this was out on blu. I recently rented this for the wife as she was in a disaster movie kinda mood(she had just watched Earthquake). We both enjoyed which means I'll be picking this one up eventually.
