I agree, it's a fun movie. The ending deflates a bit...once they get to the "real world"...which felt like a cliche in of itself...but overall a fun movie. Though part of its failure I think can be attributed to being stomped by dinosaurs. I'll always get a kick out of Arnold's Hamlet. Plus McTiernan has a good sense of action. Well, he did back then.

But Cliffhanger...is a fun movie. PLus, the locations are at times breathtaking...here's hoping for a top quality transfer on that one.

The UK Cliffhanger (region B locked) looks great to me, I don't think anyone will be disappointed.

Last Action Hero deserves more features. I enjoyed that movie.
I'd even take a commentary from anybody from the movie, even F. Murray Abraham.

Last Action Hero = win. Don't know why people give it so much hate. Only thing I found off about it was the random ass guy exploding from a gunshot.

LAH is the biggest guilty pleasure of mine, I guess always holding off on the $3 DVD pays off, will get this when it drops to like $10-$15.

Well Sony is giving Cliffhanger and Last Action Hero a $24.95 MSRP which means it should probably be available for around $15 right on release day. I know Leon has the same MSRP and is $15.99 on Amazon right now.

I love LAH. Arnold was just too big at the time and the critics wanted to see him fail so they smeared it.

I've always wanted to see the trailer which was exclusive footage shot for that alone and was the most expensive trailer at the time. Pissed that they won't put it on the disc. WTF Sony?

No extras whatsoever? What happened to 50 gigs of space and we can fit all this stuff?

FAIL!

I hear ya, but personally I'm just glad they're putting the movie out on Blu-Ray at all. I think up until this point they had a full screen DVD and some hard to find non-anamorphic widescreen version.

But yeah, sticking the trailer on the disc (even if it was just an old crappy quality version) shouldn't be too hard, should it?

Oh, I'm still buying it. But it's just disappointing. I have the non-anamorphic dvd. Can't watch it anymore.

I remember the movie's opening weekend quite well. Jurassic Park was in its second week and was playing on 3 screens at the multiplex I went to. Lines were out the door. Last Action Hero opened on 1 screen, and the theater was barely half full.
