I guess the only real thing that excites me here is the two commentaries. I am total nerd for this feature and find them (good ones) entertaining as hell.

I just watched this via Nutflix rental and while it had its moments I just couldnt connect with any of the characters. Rohrsach was the most interesting but the rest were meh. Well made and all that...just didnt grab me enough.

Oh well. Thats the beauty of renting.

I was watching the directors cut for the second time yesterday, and noticed that the voices are weak on the DTSMA score. Anyone else pick up on this? Hopefully that could be corrected on the TRUEHD score. Either way, it pisses me off that they are double dipping on this already. If and when the wbsop.com has another crazy sale, I might think about picking this new version up.

How does it piss you off? They announced this a week before the movie hit the stores. Not to mention it came with an ad to begin with.

I guess I missed that then. Double dips piss me off in general, and WB loves to double dip.

Not to mention they talked about the double dip before the movie was out in theaters

Forgot to mention the terrible cover art though

I still cannot watch this movie without comparing it to the book... So... I pass again.

I was curious as to whether you would enjoy it a while back (you said that you were undecided due to reviews), but it sounds like it went ok....all things considered, a lot of people reacted a lot more negatively towards the movie

Not sure how I feel about this or if I will pick it up or not.
I love the movie and have the steelbook.
I guess I will have to go to the store and look at the box and decide, I think only then I will know if I want it or not.

Terrible artwork.

I hope they have fixed the audio lip-synch in this cut, the Directors Cut was bloody awful in places.

Agreed 100%. It will just be confusing and annoying.

I have been holding out for this set because I wanted to have all the other stuff (Under The Hood, Motion Comic etc.) in one package, but if they don't give you the option of watching the DC and Black Freighter separately, then Warners can go fudge themselves.
