'Ghost Rider' - High-Def Digest review

Just posted Peter's review of 'Ghost Rider.' While he agrees with most critics who found the film itself a mess (it has a 29% rotten rating at Rotten Tomatoes), as a Blu-ray release this one's a prize. Great video, great audio, great supplements -- on a purely technical level this one's an across-the-board winner, sure to give your home theater a healthy workout.

File this under guilty pleasure. The Rider scenes are fun camp. Its the human scenes that really bring it down. Nic Cage plays it weird and at least thats better then playing it straight.

I knew this movie would look great in HD when I saw the HD trailers on tv.

I thought the movie was entertaining, but beyond that, I wasn't looking at it on any critical level. It at least reasonably resembled the Ghost Rider comic books I used to read as a kid, NC was good, though the female lead was a bit over the top for the roll and poorly fit into the film.

I alreday pre-orderd it from amazon and once again Peter has proven himself to be a horrible mvie reviewer this movie is a lot more fun than the review makes it out to be. Yes it is not the best movie and Nic Cage is to old for the part but when I went to see the movie I was expecting a fun and entertaining popcorn movie and nothing else and this definatley delivered. As a fun mindless popcorn movie it gets an 7.5/10. Once again Peter has given a review of the movie itself that is not deserving. Hes the worst reviewer on this site for movie reviews hes dead on with the PQ and AQ reviews though

Did I read that right... the bonus stuff is in 1080p??? That is pretty impressive! At least there is one positive thing going for it lol.

I did see this movie and it does suck. Only way this movie will be in my collection is if I receive it as a gift.

I like mindless fun movies as long as they don't take themselves too seriously. I have a feeling I'll like this one. Can't wait...

Most of SPHE's day-and-date releases have that. It's funny how that plus always gets over looked when the "other side" likes to bring up how little to none special features that BD has. I'd like to know how many exclusive HD DVD's have 1080p special features.

Movie sucked why would anyone want to buy it?

As a huge comic fan alot of comic movies are starting to suck.

Spiderman 1 and 2 were good. Xmen was ok and the rest SUCKED so far.

FF2will suck but my girl is in it so ill go see it

Nothing will ever top Daredevil. That was by far the worst save maybe the first Punisher.
