Default 'Blue Thunder' - High-Def Digest Review

Josh has reviewed 'Blue Thunder.' He says this movie, despite its guilty-inducing qualities, is still a little cheesy charmer. This Blu-ray looks and sounds surprisingly good. Heck, they even tossed us a few supplemental bones! Worth a guilty glance or two.

Yeah, I agree with the review. The movie is definitely dated.

I believe this movie is rated "R" not "PG-13".

But yeah, this movie is definitely dated.. I may rent it for old times sake..

Thanks, I'll update that.

Yeah, that yoga scene would definitely push this to R territory.

If that chopper is built to scale for 3 3/4" figures, I covet it immensely.

I've always wanted to watch this movie, but never have. I read some stuff on imdb that said it was dated as well. Is it one that you would enjoy if you had never seen it before.

Not sure if it's still $9.99 at Amazon, but that's where I picked it up. Sure, it's dated, really. But I have a soft spot for Roy Scheider and the helicopter. The movie was badass when I was thirteen, and the aerial scenes are still pretty damn good.

Then, there's the yoga scene.....What? Where am I?

You know, I had only ever seen the movie previously in its censored TV version, which has the alternate footage of that scene with the girl clothed. The theatrical version was... eye opening... to say the least.

I bought it for the bad guy alone. The copter is pretty neat too with Schneider. Come to the 80s'.
