Default Discovery Atlas: Complete Collection

Is now only $33.99 for the pre-order on Amazon, to be released November 10. For those who haven't seen it, it looks absolutely amazing. Not only that, but the complete collection for such a low price is awesome!

This set includes:
South Africa
France
Japan
Mexico
China
Italy
Egypt
Russia
India
Australia
Brazil

I have the original box set of four on HD-DVD, (China, Brazil, Italy and Australia) and they were a sight to behold. The collection has a full runtime of 559 minutes, so it really is a value! Even if you aren't into the whole "personalized" look at people in these countries, the video quality is top notch.

I am wondering if anyone else is as excited about this as I am? It is in my Top 5 Most Wanted! Here's box art:

Looks fantastic, I've never heard of it, but I'll have to pick it up some time.

Default it all fits on 2 BDs

Since each of the original 4 titles on HD-DVD was on HD30 discs, and the BDs were BD25 discs, how can they fit all of this on just 2 BDs? Are they dropping materials like the extras included in the original releases?
The cover art says 2 blu-rays - the Amazon text says 3 discs?

I think that the Amazon text is correct - 3 BD50's.

I'm beginning to doubt this is a "complete" collection. The website for Discovery lists this as containing only seven countries...India, China, Brazil, France, Australia, Italy and Mexico. It also lists the running time as 7 hours, 53 minutes...473 minutes, which is much shorter than the 556 mentioned on Amazon.

Weren't most of these about 90 minutes or so each?

Hmm... The Discovery Store version apparently ships on October 6, if it is correct, which I doubt. Personally, I trust Amazon's information more than the Discovery Store, sad as that may be. We will see...

Since it is getting released on November 11, I thought it worthwhile to pop this up again. I've noticed that the Discovery Channel has fixed thier own listing to show that it contains all 11 countries, noit the 8 they had before. (But they still list it as 2 Blu discs and a running time of 473 minutes.)

Amazon continues to list it as 3 discs and 556 minutes.

I've decided to order it since it has all 11 countries verified. Great price from Amazon for the complete collection (though it will be minus the shorts, I am certain).

I'm still confused how they will fit all of that (11 countries, two hours each) onto even 3 discs. I have four of them on HD-DVD, and they don't have HD audio tracks, but still, that is a lot of material.

My only guess is the other remaining 7 countries are not as long (maybe only 45-60 min each)

Now since it is released, can anyone confirm that this set is seriously trimmed (cut)?
