Default Dumbo / Feb 2010

Quote:
Disney Home Entertainment is currently planning to release the classic animated tale Dumbo on Blu-ray Disc and DVD sometime in February 2010. They've even whipped up a snazzy new contemporary logo to accompany the title.

The special edition release is expected to include some new bonus features that at this time are currently unknown outside of the Mouse House. Once Disney makes a formal announcement I'll be sure to share the details with all of you.

In the meantime, check out an advertising teaser for Dumbo below and mark your calender for the big guy's high definition debut.

Dumbo is one of my least favorite Disney Movies of all the animated classics... I wish that they'd release pretty much anything other then this.... however, seeing as how all Disney Blu's are pretty amazing, and that I'm trying to put together a complete collection of disney films, I'll be picking this up pretty quickly as well.

Wow I never thought I'd see the day Disney would release a non Platinum animated title on Blu-ray!

Whatever, I'm still waiting for the 2008 Finding Nemo release they promised us. Really, I don't know why Disney even bothers with these super early anouncements. They've got a Shoot, Ready, Aim mentality with their classic cartoon and Pixar films.

Just give me beauty and the beast and I'll be a very....very happy man.

It's still on track for fall 2010 right?

This should be... Unless the 3D release pushes it back for some odd reason.

God dammit, this better not have bumped Fantasia.

I wonder if John Lasseter had anything to do with this? He has repeatedly expressed how much he loves Dumbo.

Eh. All I want are Lion King, Aladdin, Robin Hood, 101 Dalmations, Fantasia, and Emperor's New Groove. I imagine it'll be 2019 by the time I get them all.

Awesome. This is one of my favorites, and I thought I was going to have to wait forever for it. I absolutely loved it when I was a kid, then I wasn't into it for years, but recently I've really come to appreciate it. It's such an interesting film, visually.

I want Peter Pan and Jungle Book on Blu Ray! Dumbo is not in my interest. They should also release Alice in Wonderland to help promote the new movie from Tim Burton.

Ultimate Disney who reported this said Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 was delayed because of this release didn't they? I'm quite upset.

You will probably be more upset if they released the censored version of Fantasia.
