Default 'Hellboy' - High-Def Digest Review

Just posted Kenneth's review of 'Hellboy.' Featuring a top tier transfer, a great audio package, and a decent (if incomplete) set of supplements, he says this Blu-ray edition of the film is sure to wow your friends and give you plenty dig through over a long weekend.

4 stars for the movie huh?

It's easily one of the worst movies I have ever seen. The plot is inane. A Totally overblown film.

Actually I remembered it to be entertaining. I wasn't planning on picking this up just because I didn't think it was going to be all that on HD. But after seeing the review, I'm rewatching it on my SDVD version to see I maybe I do wanna pick it up after all.

Very good review. Even at the time the CG didn't look particularly good so that doesn't surprise me that it would stand out more on the BD but it was still a great film. However, I already own the 3-disc DC on DVD so I'll hold off on buying this one until it drops quite a bit in price.

If you really care about HD DVD, don't get the Xbox 360 add-on and make the same mistake I did

This disk is great.I have owned it for over a month since it was released here some time ago and the picture quality is excellent. It deserves the 4 1/2 stars it got.

Love this film but I have the directors cut and I'm not going to buy the same movie twice.

....What? Are we talking about the same movie? It has a 79% on Rotten Tomatoes, and it's probably the most well-received comic book movie aside from Spiderman (It actually ranks 13th on RT). And the plot is FAR less inane than most other comic book movies - Ghost Rider?

I liked this movie. Ron Pearlman did a great job with the character so thats why I liked more than I thought I would. Probably pick this up on Friday.

Say what you want about Ghost Rider, but it did better than expected at the box office. I did not think the story was all that bad. It's not Spiderman... but it's decent, as was Hellboy.

Hey.... has anyone seen Cronos? I've been really curious about it but it seems that the only way for me to see it would be to buy the Pan's Labyrinth/Cronos two-pack (which wouldn't be that bad).
