Rocky: The Undisputed Collection on Blu-ray Info
Here is the art cover for the new Rocky Blu-ray collection
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rocky-Comple...0361783&sr=8-7
Looks like they are calling this release (due out 10/27/09) "The Undisputed Collection".
My only fear, MGM won't load this 'Undisputed Collection with deleted scenes/extras...
At the very least I hope the studio does a great job on the HD transfer!Toshiba Regza 42" 42RV535U

I'm gonna wait on the U.S. for this one. I want all 6 Rocky films in anamorphic widescreen, and I want the first Rocky film to have all of the extras from the special edition SD dvd.
All the rest need a remastered picture and lossless sound. -

Finally!! I've been holding off buying Rocky and Rocky Balboa, hoping for a box set.
I'll grab the UK one. They'll all be anamorphic, and not fussed on extras. Plus the price is pretty good.

I would have to say Rocky Balboa is the weakest in the series. Yes even Rocky IV is better than it...but that one is second worst. From what I hear Rocky looks and sounds pretty mediocre so a remastered version with lossless audio seems necessary.

Im glad to see these are coming out as some of them are favorites of mine. But, I will not be buying the set. Rocky 1 & 2 have lost a little oomph over the years and I dont think I'll sit through them again. Plus Ive seen them a zillion times. Rocky 3 for whatever reason just isnt that great to me, even with the glorious Mr. T in it. Rocky 4 is the best Rocky film ever as far as Im concerned. The training, the fights, Appolo getting smacked, the whole Russian "thing". Cant get any better than this. Rocky 5 should be banned on Planet earth. Rocky Balboa is, well, no go.
So, I'd probably grab Rocky 4 if it came out separately but thats about it for me.Pioneer KURO 50"

Cover art's kinda creepy, like a CGI, videogamey Stallone. And all this talk about ROCKY IV setting the high bar of quality while ROCKY BALBOA is near the bottom end, well, frankly, that just makes me weep for the future. Can't wait to get this day one, as long as the extras are in place and they've done right by remastering the original title.

I don't get all the love for IV either. To me it is nothing more than a two hour music video. 1 and 2 will always be the best to me. 3 is alright,5 wasn't too good and the last one wasn't too bad.I already have these on DVD so the improvements need to be astrnomical before I buy these again.

Its far more than a two hour music video. Theres more to it than that. Just because the training montages are awesome doesnt make it a music video. The Apollo stuff, the russian tension, the fact that Drago even becomes "human" towards the end of the final fight.... thats all good stuff.
Rocky 1 kind of drags a little bit. Rocky 2 does as well although I almost like that better than Rocky 1. Rocky 3 is fun to watch but theres something about that doesnt jive with me. Rocky 5 and Balboa are a waste of celluloid, IMO.
Hey - different strokes for different folks. I just wont get a complete set since I'll barely watch them all again. A few rentals and maybe a single film purchase here and there. I cant buy a set when I dont care for almost half the films in the set.Pioneer KURO 50"

To be honest I don't love every single Rocky movie..but Stallone is one of my favourite actors so I just have to get this thou I'd like to buy them individually.

I think Rocky V is one of the most underrated sequels, along with Godfather Part III.
What lets Rocky V down the most, is the horrid rap music.
