Lots of extras too! Can't wait! This is one of the movies I wanted most on Blu-ray.

So it is coming to Blu-ray as well. Nice! I was expecting to have to mull over whether to settle for the DVD and wait.
(I do hope both versions are fully viewable, though, and the theatrical ending doesn't get moved over to the extras instead. It's hard to tell from that press release exactly which they're planning to do. Gawd, I'm never satisfied.)

At long last, Fred Dekker's horror classic gets a release on both
and DVD.
A film that combines scares, suspense, gore, and humour in a way that few horror films have ever managed to equal.
I ask you - has the song 'Stroll' ever sounded so creepy in anything else?

Awesome news! I was all set to settle for the standard-def disc, but this news just improved a crap day.
Regarding paving the way for a Monster Squad Blu, though, the onus is on Lionsgate here in the States. You never know, though. It seems like a lot of more cultish stuff is getting the upgrade lately (this, Hardware, etc, etc).
