Default 'Fargo' - High-Def Digest Review

David has reviewed 'Fargo.' He says this is on their most memorable films. This Blu-ray offers nicely upgraded video and audio and all the previously released extras. Recommended.

I've only ever caught bits and pieces of this movie on TV. I'm glad the PQ/AQ is good on this. I look forward to either renting or buying this.

as much as a i love the coens i dont think the movie is the masterpiece that everyone else thinks it is, but i need a 2nd viewing because it was one of the first of the now many coen bros films ive watched and come to love. i like frances mcdormand as an actress but i didnt like her character in the movie and thought it pulled it back from being more of a realistic film, even though it's a comedy drama.

Probably my third favorite, behind Barton Fink and NCFOM.

David, you draw the connection to No Country for Old Men. I'd argue that Fargo is much closer in tone and style to the Coens' first film, Blood Simple.

Same here Boston...

I like this movie, I do.... I just don't understand the "acclaim" that it gets...

Great performances for sure.

Fantastic movie that was robbed of its Best Picture by that turd The English Patient. Great Blu-Ray too, detail is fantastic.

I really have to disagree with the PQ rating of this review. The image suffers from excessive sharpening to the point of distraction, which has been reported on several other forums and reviews. One of the poorest BR disks I've seen, a big disappointment because I do love the movie. I can only hope they fix this someday, whoever okayed this transfer should be fired.

i agree great performances no doubt. i still havent seen blood simple but its way up on my list...as for NCFOM, i think it just might be the overall best film i've seen in all of my movie watching, it's the perfect film.
