Default 'Push' - High-Def Digest Review

Tom has reviewed 'Push.' He says this movie is a mess, thanks in large part to the its script. This Blu-ray has great video, pretty good audio, and weak supplements. This one is a rental, maybe, if you must.

Again, how does a nearly perfect score for video and audio get 'a rental at best' verdict? This site is intended for pq and aq reviews, not general critiquing. Please remember that, because these very good presentations deserve more than 'a rental at best' judgments.
THIS IS A MUST OWN!

I don't get it. You buy movies you don't like just because the video and audio is good?

Yeah seriously what the hell do I care if the reviewer liked the movie or not I want a review of the DISC not the movie. Its so subjective whats the point?

I think the reviewers understand the intentions and purpose of this site just fine

Well if it really bothers you that much, then ignore the overall score and look at the individual scores.

Thats what I do when the Fast and Furious movies dont get a 5/5 for movie itself

Yeah I always look at the PQ score before anything else. I would buy this but Ill wait, I will be getting Watchmen and Fast and Furious tho.

I saw this flick in theaters....that is all I have to say about it,lol. TERRIBLE,imho...but my son thought it was not that bad. I think it borders on ''rental at best'' and ''bad flick/good disc'', again imho.

There is no way I would buy a disc just based on pq and aq. Its a horrible movie and I wont waste my time with it when I can watch good movies that also have good pq and aq.

The trailer was promising, so lowered expectations before going in, I shall have. I thought it LOOKED very much like a Jumper rip-off from the trailers.

some people do. i've bought titles i was ON THE FENCE about due to good PQ/AQ scores, and i've blind bought MANY due to some reviewer recommendations here in the past.

i still won't buy films like Day of the Dead 2: Contagium, even if they scored perfectly on a/v (which they wouldn't), not even to subside the completionist in me, the guy who loves his zombies. that doesn't mean these people aren't out there!

Since when? Just because you use it solely for PQ and AQ scores, doesn't mean everyone else does. I mean, damn. This site has existed for HOW long, doing reviews on Movie/Video/Audio/Extras/Exclusive Extras?

Good review!

Push looked so laughably bad.

Also, I think the movie reviews here are very important. The Blu-ray should be reviewed as a package, not for just it's Audio and Visual.

Plus, the reviews at HDD always tend to be very well-written and enjoyable reads. They're not easy on most movies, which is really good.

I enjoyed this movie enough in the theaters that I already preordered it before I knew the outcome of the audio/video transfer. I'm not saying it was a good movie by any stretch, but it entertained me enough that I didn't care.

I rented this movie, and I wish I had my time back. I've seen enough great looking and sounding movies, the whole being wowed by a movie JUST because it looks good lost its appeal years ago (probably after I bought Alexander). The movie sucks. You can dip a turd in gold and encrust it with gems, but it will still be a great looking piece of shit.
