'Monsters vs Aliens' coming September 29th!!
No word yet whether or not we will see a 3D version included with the release. I would think that they would..they advertised heavily enough and even advertised the 3D during the Superbowl. I thought the movie was alright....it did put me to sleep a couple of times when I watched it in 3D with my daughter. And there lies the rub, lol. I will be getting it whether I liked it or not becuase my daughter LOVED it...damn it,lol.

I thought it was just alright.
It wasn't BAD in any sense, but it just all felt so...pointless. Like the movie didn't need to be made, really. -

Wow, 6 months after theaters would be a pretty long wait for a release.

It reminds me of the good ole days back in like 2002 or 2003 when movies actually took 6 months to release. Granted, I love being able to get my movies faster now, but it messes up the feel of seeing a movie in the theaters I guess. I mean, nowadays, it's easy to just say, "I'll wait 4 months and it'll be on DVD."

Yeah, this is going to be blind buy for me too, animations and cartoon are generally a no brainer for me, i really love them!
Now the BIG question is when is Dreamworks going to release some of their older stuff, like Over the Hedge etc....I really hope they release them before Christmas, the sooner the better

This will have a 3D short but I REALLY want to know if they are going to release the 3D version of the movie along with the 2D version. Dreamworks pushed the 3D adverising pretty heavy so I am expecting that a 3D version will accompany the 2D version...but you never know.

Fredster, I'm with you: where the hell is "Over the Hedge"? That was an awesome Dreamworks movie and it's a shame there was only one. Well, maybe not since sequels often follow the law of diminishing returns. Nonetheless, I'd love to have that on Blu. As for M vs A, it was alright, but overall I would echo the sentiments of Dack, where once done, it seemed like there was very little to the movie overall. It was something to pass the time and not bad per se, but afterwards, it was largely forgettable.

Yeah, just the short is in 3D. I wonder if DreamWorks will double dip sometime in the future.
