Default 'Spaceballs' - High-Def Digest Review

Nate has reviewed 'Spaceballs.' He loves the film, but says this Blu-ray is a bit of a mess, with troubled video and audio and some extras that omit past material and leave in some lame stuff, including a DVD copy from two editions back! Give this one a rent.

I see your schwartz is as big as mine!

I'll still end up getting this at some point. Too good of a movie to pass up. Plus all i have is a bootleg VHS tape of it and it has to be better than that.

'Spaceballs' succeeds in my eyes for many reasons. It never gets old, or boring, in repeat viewings. It is one of the few comedies that I've found to get funnier with repeat viewings, inducing more laughter, rather than a blank gaze. The casting is spot on, with great comedic timing, especially a gut busting, hilarious performance by Moranis. Even the moments that pull the audience from the film, such as staring into the camera, or breaking the third wall, come off as funny. While not a perfect film, 'Spaceballs' is certainly a perfect farce of the sci-fi genre, and a must own title for any comedy collection.
it's actually the fourth wall... just for future reference.

So the combination is... one, two, three, four, five? That's the stupidest combination I've ever heard in my life! The kind of thing an idiot would have on his luggage!

MGM is quickly becoming my most hated studio.

I just bought this in the CH deal, but I hope we get a quality import one day. Japan, are you listening...? (Although I don't even know who else has rights.)

I was hoping the AQ/PQ would be good. Too bad MGM didn't do a good job with this.
