about the thread subject.... You do realize that if it wasn't DTS then Paramount would have used TrueHD which is equally lossless right? I seriously don't understand how to this day people are still incapable of understanding that lossless = lossless.

Seems Paramount is becoming inconsistent on audio codecs.

In all fairness, I don't think he's suggesting that they don't sound the same, however it does indicate changes in Paramount's policies as far as TRUEHD is concerned.

Great movie. I'll hold out on it, until it's $15 or less, since I already have it on DVD.

said it before, say it again.

Paramount is charging too much!! $40 list price = too damned much, this is an older catalog title. for the dvd at amazon it is available at $14.98 list price and on sale for $9.49

So.... $40 list price and $28 on sale = Too damned much, sorry... this is way too much of an HD TAX

you don't know fanboy very well, he wanted to boycott WB for using a 1.5Mbps TrueHD track... He claimed it was worse than DD lossy.

+1. Though I hope the price in the UK will be cheaper than the US.

Yeah look at Gran Torino, the movie is hella quiet. They should have used DTS-Master Audio 24 bit.
