ooooo it's the sapphire edition!!!!

so is this a blu-ray thing or a paramount thing? and what constitues receiving the ever so prestigious sapphire label? who will be next.....oh the suspense.

I wonder if this will have chapter breaks. I remember on the LaserDisc there weren't any because Zemeckis didn't want there to be any. I know the DVD had them but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

What's this Sapphire series bullshit they're marketing? Is it like their "Platinum Series" they do in Australia with DVDs where the disc is identical to the first release and they just change the cover insert?

Ahhh...the film i want most on Blu, finally, because that DVD hasn't looked good since I had a 19" CRT

I agree.

I also have a problem paying for Blu-rays of films that are on TV often enough. The problem is not so much that I don't think the extra PQ and AQ are worth paying for (I do, actually) but that I know if I suggest to the wife that we stick on Forrest Gump, she'd rather watch a new episode of a TV show.

If the film actually comes on terrestrial TV though, we might well end up watching it!
