Default 'The Greatest Game Ever Played' - High-Def Digest Review

Aaron has reviewed 'The Greatest Game Ever Played.' He says this historical golf film is way above par, and sports five-star video and audio. Another highly recommended Disney release.

I enjoyed this movie (I own it on DVD). Based on the review it sounds like it is time to sell the DVD and upgrade to the Blu

Another fantastic PQ and AQ from Disney. Too bad we couldn't get them to handle all studios catalog titles.

Because of the "From Caddie to Champion: Francis Ouimet" featurette.

It really is a fantastic featurette and it's a PBS documentary which means whoever put together the original DVD had to go out searching for something like that. It's from the 60s so I imagine when they put it together it took some time to find that interview and get it on there.

That was my reasoning.

This was before I hated Shia Labeouf.

Me too actually. Before he became a stuttering mess in every movie.

Transformers:
"No, no, no, no, no....Run, run, run, run run."

I think his new schtick in Revenge of the Fallen is yelling various names of the Autobots...

I've heard "OPTIMUS" and "BUMBLEBEEEE." He sounds ridiculous both times.

Well in all fairness to Shia he is not exactly working with Oscar material in Transformers.

But I saw this movie and liked it a lot. It is nice to see Disney keeps churning out A+ releases.

I rather liked this movie myself. I think Shia is talented and people just categorized him as a popular culture hack, but he's still a good actor. Maybe he'll turn to a different chapter in his acting career soon here and follow a strong path like Tom Hanks. Granted, I don't think he's on the same level as Hanks, but he could some day improve to be on that level.

I agree he is talented, but he's got this stuttering habit that he's gotten used to that is totally buggy. See: 'Indiana Jones 4,' 'Transformers,' 'Disturbia,' and 'Eagle Eye.'

Thumbs up I cannot wait to see this ball golfing game film.

This sounds like a must see film.

I will certainly rent the blu-ray and watch it very soon. I love golf.
And 5/5 for picture & sound! Sounds good to me. Plus a good story.

One tiny thing:
There are way more audio and subtitle options than listed on the packaging. Hell, even the PS3 couldn't recognize a few of them, as it stated "other" for their language when going through the listings (a downfall of having the subtitle list on the menu be in that particular language!)

there's THIRTY-TWO subtitle tracks. many are for the commentaries, as the loop goes through the languages three times. Absolutely crazy!
