Default 'Ghostbusters' - High-Def Digest Review

M. travels back to the '80s to review the classic comedy, 'Ghostbusters.' He says this wacky blend of laughs and thrills is just as funny and exciting as it was upon its initial theatrical release 25 years ago. Though he questions the roots of the above-average video transfer, he heartily approves of both the upgraded audio and weighty supplemental package. A must own for fans, and highly recommended for everyone else.

Not only do I disagree with the PQ score (It looks great and it's a new master supervised by the cinematographer), holy hell this guy needs to realize he's writing a review for a website and not a goddamn peer-reviewed journal.

I'm confused. How can the film be cropped when it's going from an aspect ratio of 2.20 to 2.40?

This film wasn't soft matted. We should actually be seeing more picture on the sides than previous versions.

or perhaps he shouldn't dumb down his writing styles (which I disagree with you on) to pander. I'm as low brow as they get at times, but I still enjoy his usually deep and thoughtful takes.

That's just too confusing. I have no clue what this is suppose mean or imply.

and earthquake,

it's not an open matte, but they blew up the image some and cut slightly from the left and right.

and yes, Reitman and Kovacs both approved the picture. but after comparing all three versions, the picture has more similarities with the 2005 master than it does with the 1999 version. still, the Blu-ray looks great, which I mentioned a few times, and I'm still happy with it.

As long as I get a steady paycheck, I'll believe anything you want.

"Aim at the flattop!"

I'm sure that's what some are probably thinking of me.
