The Guy Ritchie directed Sherlock Holmes looks like all kinds of awesome fun, IMO.
Great Review BTW. I really enjoyed the film as well and rank second of all his movies, behind Snatch and ahead of Lock Stock.

I've owned the UK version of the BD for quite some time now and I thoroughly enjoy the film, it's more than a rental to me. And yes, the train track sequence is awesome.

Thanks for all the support guys! I'm glad you liked the review.

And Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes does look pretty cool.

IMDb doesn't mention two different edits though. Tony has it at Xploited, but this could simply be because it was released in Europe prior to being released in the US.

Edit: Here is the link I had been looking for. Granted it's not definitive proof, but that's what I was looking for here.
Thanks for the info.

Love this movie.

1st part in a planned trilogy. Can't wait for the rest.

And the train track sequence is one of the greatest scenes put to film. Soundtrack is pretty dope as well

I dont think the trilogy is going to be done from what Ive read. Since the movie didnt live up financially (from what I read). We can just hope the DVD and Bluray does well and down the road Guy decides to do the 2nd and 3rd movie (thats if what I read is true).

I dont know anything about The Sun, so take my knowledge on this with a grain of salt. The Sun could be nothing more than a one of those supermarket "Im having an alien baby" rags.

... it's far far worse than that. It's a "tabloid" (in the US sense) that pretends to be a newspaper and the ignorant underclasses believe everything they read in it and it's Sunday sister paper the News Of The World. It's a sad commentary on British society.

Bad source or not, there is no way in hell a sequel to RocknRolla is going to happen. Which sucks; I'd love to see it happen.

The Last Guy Richie film was terrible, but I really enjoyed this one.

That would suck.

First off it didnt do well theatrically because it was not marketed what so ever here in the states. I am a huge Guy Ritchie fan, but I didnt know when this was being released until I randomly checked movie times one day...

Everybody should buy a copy, immediately

Well, Rock N Rolla has de-throned Lock Stock as my new favorite Guy Ritchie film. It's right behind Snatch.

I watched it FOUR times last week, including yesterday, with various folk, and now everyone is quoting the damn thing! It's been a lot of fun.

I love this film!

1. Snatch
2. Rock N Rolla
3. Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels
4. Revolver

Oh, and to correct the original review. Uri is a Russian BILLIONAIRE, not millionaire. FYI.

LOL thanks for the correction. But, when it gets to a certain number of zeros I lose count, because I could never imagine that much money anyway.

I have to agree with your rankings for Guy Ritchie films. Though I still want to watch Revolver a few more times to try and understand more of it.
