Default 'Air Force One' - High-Def Digest Review

Drew has reviewed 'Air Force One.' He says the film hasn't aged well,
but this Blu-ray, which sports strong video and dynamite sound, should
at least provide some nice home theater fodder to make your friends
drool. Supplements are limited to an audio commentary. This one is
recommended based solely on the power to wow your home audience.

Weird how Americans are only just getting this, when we've had it "down under" for at least 6 months or more :S

Good , fun action film, and you really get to HATE the bad guys and enjoy watching Harrison Ford kick their asses.

Spoiler:
"Get off my plane!"
Back when Ford was in top form.

Does it really have that gigantic "R" rating on the front cover?

Spoiler:
The plane crash always looked really fake. I can recall watching this on VHS with friends and we couldn't help but laugh at how lame the crash looked after all that intense action.

No, they must have downloaded the retailer version of the cover art.

yeah "that" effect shot at the end was terrible when I first saw this in the theatre. It pulls you right out of the movie it's so God damn aweful. Pity really because I really like this movie.

I really wish they would spend a little cash and just redo that one shot.

"Quite frankly, while this more luxuriant style is refreshing, it also, in the age of Jason Bourne and '24,' seems almost impossibly slow and uninvolving."

What is this reviewer, 16? I bet a Kubrick movie would make him put a gun in his mouth...

From the Review:
"It's almost inconceivable to think that a movie like this could have been made during the George W. Bush era - a youngish, charming President who has a steadfast overseas policy stance but is a warm family man, one who pretty much everyone loves. If something like this had come out after Bush Jr. got into office, it probably would have been laughed (or booed) off the screen. 'Air Force One' came out at a time when being the President was heroic enough."

So does Drew get a suspension now for turning a movie review into a political diatribe or is that just for us readers?

Which means, for a great many, the film has become timely again all these years later.

Drew, your 3 stars are about 1 1/2 more than I'd give this P.O.S.

This movie is just terrible in every respect.

Hey, let's open fire with machine guns and freakin' hand grenades on an airplane at 30,000 feet. Because that's not gonna cause any problems!

And that crash looks like it was drawn in Crayola. Just embarrassing.

"Besides the grain, I didn't notice any technical problems"

Grain is a technical problem now?
