Default 'The International' - High-Def Digest Review

David has turned in a crackerjack review for 'The International.' He says this one will take you on quite a ride, even as little voice in the back of your head says, "Turn off you bunk-detector." This Blu-ray is loaded up with crisp video, muscular audio, and some great supplements. Worth a rental.

Extremely! Clive Owen's head always seems too big for his body.

Saw it in theatres and left somewhat disappointed. It was not the action thriller that it was promised to be, at least not nearly as much as the trailers would lead you to believe. If you had *no* expectations going in it might be much better, or at least easier to tolerate but my friend and I both left disappointed, feeling that we'd been promised an action thriller and instead got something much different.

I love how the cover makes it look like some intense action movie. Except it's not. And it's not even a good thriller. It's just crap. State of Play is by far the superior conspiracy movie of 2009. So far, anyways, I suppose.

Be that as it may, I wouldn't mind looking half as good as Clive Owen...

I must have been in a coma when this movie came out (or perhaps it hasn't come out in Europe yet?), because it sailed right past me. Judging by the comments here, a bargain-bin purchase at most.

I really liked this flick. But that coverart is a contender for "Worst Coverart Of The Year." I'll be buying it, but I'll be hunting down some alternate region coverart. Or maybe I'll just do a little stick man drawing and slide it in over the cover. Yeesh.

Yep.

I'll rent this and make my own decision. Im actually with it NOT being a Tony-Scott out of control action flick. We dont need more of those as it is.
