Default MGM goes cuckoo for horror on September 15th

With the planned release of Child's Play, Misery, and The Hannibal Lecter Anthology:

Pass on all three for me. But it is good we are seeing more horror releases as bradp56 stated.

saves me from importing Hannibal from Germany, though now I'll have a duplicate SotL.

Never seen any of those, and I don't really care.

I hope Manhunter looks good. I didn't realize Hannibal had an import release and I guess I'll be able to "complete" my collection since I already have Hannibal Rising and Red Dragon on .

A very valuable contribution then.

I'll be getting Misery, but waiting to see if the Lecter movies are released separately in the UK so I don't have to double-dip (triple-dip technically) on Silence Of The Lambs to get the other two.

That already made me cringe. I remember watching it on DVD and you could hear the crackling crunch. Just wait till it's in DTS-HD Master Audio or Dolby TrueHD 5.1.

No Red Dragon or Hannibal Rising? It isn't a complete anthology without those two films so a pass for me.

Probably rent Childs Play and see how it holds up. The rest are meh. I have Silence of the Lambs on and Red Dragon on so Im good to go there. No more needed from that series, IMO.

Misery never did much for me. It had its moments but ultimately became dull and irritating. Its famous basically for one scene.

That won't happen, Red Dragon is Universal and Hannibal Rising is Weinstein, which is why the above poster has them both on HD DVD. MGM only has the rights to SotL and Hannibal in the "official" film saga, but Manhunter is the original eighties version of Red Dragon and you get that so...
