Default 'S. Darko: A Donnie Darko Tale' - High-Def Digest Review

Nate has reviewed 'S. Darko: A Donnie Darko Tale.' He didn't think the movie was anything great, but says the Blu-ray has exceptional video and audio, along with some interesting extras. Good disc, bad flick.

I'd like to go ahead and express my condolences to Nate for sitting through this. I still cannot come up with any good explanation for why they felt the need to make this film.

i won't deny it, i will eventually see this just so i can check out and stare at Daveigh for 90mins...she's grown into quite the sexy little thing. :P

but yeah...even if i liked it, it truly is a pointless sequel. at least they got her back and didnt recast.

Very dissapointing. Another FOX direct to video cash in on a beloved movie.

Honestly I probably will still rent it. Just will not be expecting anything. My love for Donni Darko is strong enough, to where it won't be tarnished.

I don't see any reason to watch this "movie".

Furthermore, it continues to surprise me how Donnie Darko continues to open itself more with repeated viewings. Few movies manage to do that, a truly poignant film.

Maybe those people interviewed on the EPKs saying there was a LOT of room for interpretations should have actually watched the film more than once.

I managed to sit through this one as well. As a sequel to such an amazing cult hit, it fails completely. Even if it were on its own, it still has terrible acting. I'm pretty sure the only point there is to having this movie made was to answer the nagging question that s. darko had asked in the original, "What's a F*ck@ss?" Well everyone, here's your answer.
