Default 'Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist' - High-Def Digest Review

Tom has finally gotten to see 'Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist.' He says this one was a disappointment, and one that moved at a snail's pace. This Blu-ray has fair video, good audio, and a nice mix of supplements. Rent it first!

I enjoyed the movie well enough in the theater, but it just wasn't something I'd probably watch multiple times so I passed on the blu. I'd have given it a 3/5 for the movie itself.

I have this movie and I also thought it was smart/witty. Missing the digital copy though. Anyone have it for sale, or willing to give away? If so, PM me.

Totally agree, 3/3.5 out 5 for me. Liked the movie, but I can see how some would see it as slow.

And like another poster said, I think it was going for "witty" far more than "laugh out loud hilarious".

I enjoyed this movie a lot and picked it up on blu. While I can see how this would not be for everybody, I don't think this movie deserves 2 stars. Paul Blart on the other hand...

I rented it and didn't care for it. I felt pretty much the same as Tom, on both the technical side of the film, and the film itself. I was mostly bored from start to finish. In the end, I guess it just didn't appeal to me.

Yeah, I watched it with a friend and she was totally deadpan the entire time. I asked her for her thoughts afterwards and she said she was bored too.

Definitely a rental first just to be on the safe side for this one.

what was with the Norah Jones cheap shot? That was out of left field and didn't contribute much.

I think this movie is really cool if you're 11-18... seeing as I'm not, I'd give it about a 2.5 or 3 out of 5. The review is pretty spot on, besides the NJ cheap shot.

Well whenever I hear a NJ tune, I have the sudden urge to put on pajamas, blow out a candle, and crawl under the covers.

The military should play Norah Jones music from their loudspeakers to send their enemies to slumberland. The only reason they don't is they haven't created an immunization for it yet so nothing would stop their own troops from falling into comas.

Is there a reason why Spanish isn't offered in Dolby TruHD? This is getting to be ridiculous. Realmente. I can see the reason for including French in Dolby TruHD, but Portuguese? Sure, it can receive a DD+, but Dolby TruHD? Way more people speak Spanish than do Portuguese. Not giving Spanish a Dolby TruHD track is getting very old.

This movie is more tolerable than most romances a girlfriend or wife would get you to watch. I wasn't miserable watching it, but like other guys have said, I wouldn't buy it, and probably wouldn't watch it again unless it was with my gf again. Much better than my last gf that made me watch "A Walk to Remember".

I'm 26 and I loved it.

I don't understand the bad pacing argument. If you like it, it's a well paced film. If you do compare it to Superbad, on technical pace and structure, Superbad comes off the worse of the two. Clearly there is some other reason for not liking it. For instance if you approach this film thinking you are going to get a 'night out' comedy with a bit of romance thrown in; rather than a sweet romantic film with some comedic situations.... You'd be a little disappointed. It definitely does set out to be sweet and romantic first, rather than piling on the laughs.
