Did they buy the rights to this cut? If this is true, I'm all over this release.

I've never seen the film but that's seriously messed up if they release this just a year after the "regular" edition.

Great news!
I was hoping this would be coming out!
Exactly the reason I held back and didn't buy the first version.
Thanks for the head's up - I really hope it pans out!
*my fingers are crossed*

Link or GTFO.

I thought Lionsgate owned the rights to the Director's Cut.

From BD.com
Quote:
Warner Home Video has announced the Blu-ray release of 'Natural Born Killers: Director's Cut' for August 25. No specs have been released, but you can expect a 1080p VC-1 video encode and Dolby TrueHD audio. This release will include a new high-def introduction from director Oliver Stone and a 44-page booklet on the film's production.

Also included will be a new featurette titled "NBK Evolution: How Would It All Go Down Now?," illustrating how current communication technology would impact the film if it were made today.

'Natural Born Killers' had already been published on Blu-ray in June 2008, but that release only included the theatrical cut, which Oliver Stone had to perform at the time in order to secure an "R" rating by the MPAA. The director's cut had been released before on DVD only by a different studio, and it contains about four more minutes of footage, mostly graphic violence.
EDIT: Sorry didn't see link above.

Very cool!

I'm so glad I didn't buy the theatrical cut.

Ironically WB is releasing this. I guess Stone/WB/Lionsgate came to some sort of agreement.

Day 1 purchase!

YES. I've been waiting for this.

Surprised it's Warner! I thought that ship had sailed for them. I wonder how they got the rights back, and why.

I've got the Westinghouse TX-42F430S 42" 1080p LCD. I know you may have heard bad things about it, but I've got to tell you: Never buy the Westinghouse TX-42F430S 42" 1080p LCD.
