Default 'Batman' - High-Def Digest Review

Our review of 'Batman' has been posted. This movie doesn't seem to be aging all that well, but this disc will please fans and folks feeling a bit nostalgic. This Blu-ray has strong video and audio and lots of extras. Worth a look. Fans oughta grab this one.

So this is where the modern Batman Begins

I like the movie, even if it might be dated and I might even like the first two Batman movies better then the current moives

I would say godd review overall.

This woll be something I get later on as well. I actually really liked Keaton in this role. He seems to be out of place which is exactly what Bruce Wayne is when hes not wearing the cape. I actually just saw a movie preview with an old looking Keaton and remeber thinking he would perefctly fit the role again if they ever did a movie based on a aged Batman.

this movie is a lot of fun.
It remains THE Batman movie to me, although I like the newer ones also.
when this movie came out Kim Basinger was on top of Hollywood as the "hot" girl everyone wanted to be with.
I always liked her.
especially in LA Confidential.

probably my third favorite superhero movie behind the tying BB and TDK, watched this so many times as a kid and will always remain a true classic.

This Batman movie is something of nostalgia for me. It was 1989, I was 15 years old, working at the local 16 screen theater. I think I was first in line too for that opening Friday. I had the day off, got in line early, my ticket stub said 000001 on it too LOL. Anyways, this was a good film at the time, but compared with the 2 latest Batman movies, it's a little tough going back to this one. Like others, I will probably buy later on and at a reduced price.

I recently watched this on netflix stream... Honestly I disagree with the movie review completely! Batman still works very well for me, Nicholson's joker is still strong, if not quite Heath Ledgers.

again I don't get the reason people always want to compare these to the "newer" ones.
It was a different era, and you have a different sort of film.
you can actually like both. shhhhhhhhhhhhh
I think it is awesome, and I think TDK is pretty cool also.
(except that it was one movie that should have been two)

I don't think I can ever bring myself to give this movie below an 8/10. The Joker has been outshined by the new one, the movie comes off as hammy, the choreography is laughable yet this is the movie of my childhood.

I totally agree, I remember seeing this when it came out and was blown away by it but after seeing the modern ones I am sure it will feel very dated. If the price is right, I will eventually pick it up.
